UNDECANE
Is UNDECANE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
There is not enough direct evidence to rate Undecane specifically for seborrheic dermatitis. It gives skincare and makeup a light, quick-drying feel and is not a treatment ingredient.
Although its name refers to an 11-carbon chain, Undecane is a hydrocarbon rather than an 11-carbon fatty acid, glyceride or ester. The practical Malassezia lipid screen therefore does not transfer automatically. No exact human seb derm or yeast study was found, so judge the whole formula by its oils, fragrance, actives and actual comfort.

What is UNDECANE used for in skincare?
Undecane is a lightweight hydrocarbon used as a fast-spreading emollient and solvent. It can replace some volatile silicones, reduce greasiness and help pigments or UV filters distribute evenly. It is often paired with Tridecane, silicones, plant-derived hydrocarbons, powders and film formers in sunscreens, makeup and light serums.
