TRIDECETH-9
Is TRIDECETH-9 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Trideceth-9 is not automatically unsafe for seborrheic dermatitis, but it is best judged as part of the full surfactant system. It helps cleanse or keep oily ingredients dispersed and is not a seb derm treatment.
There is no direct human seb derm or ingredient-specific Malassezia evidence for Trideceth-9. Surfactant comfort depends on concentration, the other cleansers and whether the product is rinsed off. A gentle finished cleanser may be well tolerated, while a stronger system can still cause tightness or stinging during a flare.

What is TRIDECETH-9 used for in skincare?
Trideceth-9 is a nonionic surfactant made by adding ethylene-oxide units to tridecyl alcohol. It helps water mix with oily or fragrance materials, supports cleansing and can improve rinse-off. It is commonly combined with other surfactants and stabilisers rather than used as a treatment ingredient.
