STEARAMIDE AMP
Is STEARAMIDE AMP safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Evidence is too limited to rate Stearamide AMP confidently for seborrheic dermatitis. It helps boost foam and thicken cleansing products; it is not a treatment.
The name contains a stearic-derived C18 chain, so strict lipid screens may be cautious, but the ingredient is an amide salt rather than free stearic acid. Laboratory growth findings for free fatty acids do not prove that Stearamide AMP in a rinse-off formula feeds Malassezia. Judge the full surfactant blend by cleansing strength, rinse-off and whether it leaves a flare feeling tight or irritated.

What is STEARAMIDE AMP used for in skincare?
Stearamide AMP is the aminomethyl-propanol salt of a stearic-acid amide. It is used mainly to increase viscosity and reinforce foam in liquid cleansing systems. It is often combined with anionic and amphoteric surfactants, salt, conditioning polymers and preservatives in shampoos and washes.
