SODIUM PALM KERNELATE
Is SODIUM PALM KERNELATE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Sodium Palm Kernelate is not automatically unsafe for seborrheic dermatitis, but the soap formula around it may feel too drying during a flare. It is mainly a cleanser and lather builder. Final pH, the wider surfactant blend and how long it stays on skin matter more than the name alone.
Strict Malassezia-screening routines may flag its palm-kernel fatty-acid origin. Laboratory findings for free fatty acids do not directly apply to a soap salt in a rinse-off product, so this is a theoretical caution rather than proof of a flare trigger. Rinse thoroughly and stop if skin repeatedly feels tight, stings or becomes redder.

What is SODIUM PALM KERNELATE used for in skincare?
Sodium Palm Kernelate is the sodium salt of fatty acids obtained from palm-kernel oil. It helps lift oil and debris, creates foam and gives solid soap bars their structure. It is a functional cleansing ingredient rather than an antifungal active, and a finished soap can be much more or less drying depending on its pH and full formula.
