POTASSIUM COCOATE
Is POTASSIUM COCOATE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Potassium Cocoate can be difficult during an active seborrheic dermatitis flare even though its current label remains lower concern. It is a soap cleanser, not a treatment, and a strongly cleansing or alkaline formula may leave inflamed skin tight or irritated.
A strict Malassezia-conscious routine may also screen it because it is made from a mixture of coconut fatty acids. That is a cautious theory, not proof that the soap feeds yeast on human skin: laboratory work tested free fatty acids, not Potassium Cocoate or a finished cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and use the after-feel of the complete product as the practical guide.

What is POTASSIUM COCOATE used for in skincare?
Potassium Cocoate is the potassium soap made by reacting coconut-derived fatty acids with an alkali. It is used in liquid cleansers and soaps to lift oil, create foam and help ingredients rinse away. It is often blended with other surfactants, humectants and conditioning agents to soften the cleansing feel.
