PHOSPHOLIPIDS
Is PHOSPHOLIPIDS safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Phospholipids keeps its lower-concern editorial label for seborrheic dermatitis. These lipids help condition skin, stabilise emulsions and can form delivery structures, but they are not established antifungal treatments.
A cosmetic safety assessment supports phosphoglycerides in assessed uses and notes that skin application does not simply reproduce their biological effects inside the body. Phospholipids is a broad class with variable fatty components, and no exact human seb derm or ingredient-specific Malassezia result was found. Formula composition and personal tolerance therefore remain decisive.

What is PHOSPHOLIPIDS used for in skincare?
Phospholipids are amphiphilic lipids with a water-friendly phosphate head and oil-friendly tails. In skincare they condition the surface, help oil and water stay mixed and can form liposomes that carry other ingredients. They are often combined with lecithin, ceramides, cholesterol, humectants and active ingredients in moisturisers, serums and delivery systems.
