PHENYLALANINE
Is PHENYLALANINE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Phenylalanine is generally suitable within the cosmetic uses reviewed. Its fragrance and conditioning roles do not establish relief of seb derm. Laboratory fungal-enzyme findings also cannot predict a person’s response to a cosmetic.
A checked study found activation of a recombinant Malassezia restricta enzyme by particular forms of phenylalanine. It did not measure fungal growth, topical feeding or a human flare. Dietary research in children with phenylketonuria is another exposure and population. Consider the complete formula and personal tolerance; ask for advice about persistent symptoms.

What is PHENYLALANINE used for in skincare?
Phenylalanine is assigned fragrance, hair-conditioning and skin-conditioning functions. Those cosmetic purposes are separate from its role in nutrition. Different stereochemical forms and laboratory endpoints need their own interpretation; an enzyme result cannot become a dietary restriction or a topical treatment recommendation.
