PERLITE
Is PERLITE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
There is not enough seborrheic-dermatitis-specific evidence to label Perlite clearly good or bad. It is a porous mineral used to absorb oil and add body, not to treat the condition.
Perlite does not provide an obvious lipid source for Malassezia, but an absorbent or textured product can feel drying or rough when skin is already inflamed. A finely dispersed amount in a finished formula may feel very different from a powder or mask, so judge the product by comfort and stop if it increases tightness or irritation.

What is PERLITE used for in skincare?
Perlite is a lightweight, porous mineral created from volcanic glass. Skincare formulators use it to absorb excess oil, reduce a greasy finish and add bulk or texture to powders, masks and mattifying products. It may be combined with clays, starches, silica or film formers, and its effect depends heavily on particle size and product format.
