PEG-100
Is PEG-100 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
PEG-100 has lower concern in its published Atlas profile, with a cosmetic assessment covering reviewed uses. Its moisture-related and solvent purposes are formulation functions. They do not prove an independent seb derm benefit, and an ingredient assessment cannot guarantee comfort from every finished product containing this polymer.
A mouse antibody study concerned PEG derivatives in mixed cosmetic products. It does not establish an exact PEG-100 clinical effect or how often a person will react. The checked research also did not resolve an independent fungal response. Consider the whole formula and your response, and ask for advice if irritation persists.

What is PEG-100 used for in skincare?
PEG-100 is an unesterified polyethylene glycol with an official average of 100 ethylene-oxide units. Its listed cosmetic functions are humectant and solvent. PEG-100 Stearate and PEG-100 Castor Oil are different derivatives; their fatty-acid or oil components should not be attributed to plain PEG-100.
