PALM KERNEL ACID
Is PALM KERNEL ACID safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Palm Kernel Acid is not automatically unsafe for seborrheic dermatitis, but it may not suit a strict Malassezia-conscious routine. It is a fatty-acid mixture used to help cleanse or build emulsifying surfactants, not a proven seb derm treatment.
Palm-kernel materials are typically rich in lauric and other fatty acids that overlap with lipid sources used by Malassezia in laboratory studies. That makes the concern plausible but still theoretical: the exact cosmetic ingredient and finished products have not been shown to worsen human seb derm. Rinse-off use and overall cleanser mildness matter.

What is PALM KERNEL ACID used for in skincare?
Palm Kernel Acid is the mixture of fatty acids obtained from palm-kernel oil. Formulators use it as a cleansing and emulsifying building block, often neutralising it or combining it with other surfactants to create soap-like washes, bars and cream cleansers. It is not the same material as whole palm oil.
