METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER
Is METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Evidence is too limited to rate Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer specifically for seborrheic dermatitis. It is an inert texture powder used to blur, absorb oil and reduce tack, not a treatment.
A risk assessment of acrylic polymers found very low migration of residual methyl methacrylate under its tested conditions, but it was not a study of every cosmetic crosspolymer or inflamed seb derm skin. This polymer is not a fatty nutrient for Malassezia. Very matte formulas can still emphasise flakes, and any complete product can irritate through other ingredients, so judge repeat comfort rather than the polymer name alone.

What is METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER used for in skincare?
Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer is a three-dimensional acrylic polymer supplied as fine particles. It gives products a silky, powdery finish, absorbs some oil, improves slip and visually softens texture. It is often combined with silica, pigments, silicones, UV filters and film formers in primers, sunscreens, makeup and oil-control skincare.
