MENTHYL LACTATE
Is MENTHYL LACTATE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
There is not enough evidence to rate Menthyl Lactate as helpful for seborrheic dermatitis. It creates a cooling sensation, but cooling is not proof that inflammation or Malassezia is being treated.
Related menthol studies show that cooling ingredients can also produce dose-related discomfort or irritation, although Menthyl Lactate is a different ester and often feels milder. No exact human seb derm study was found. On cracked or actively inflamed skin, stop if the cool feeling turns into burning, stinging or increased redness.

What is MENTHYL LACTATE used for in skincare?
Menthyl Lactate is an ester made from menthol and lactic acid. It activates a cool sensory impression that tends to develop more gently and last longer than a sharp menthol burst. It is often combined with menthol, fragrance, alcohol, soothing extracts and scalp-care actives in after-sun, body, shaving and hair products.
