MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE
Is MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Magnesium Hydroxide is context-dependent for seborrheic dermatitis. It adjusts pH, absorbs moisture or supports deodorant and cleansing systems, but it does not treat seb derm.
It is an inorganic mineral rather than a Malassezia-relevant lipid. No direct human seb derm study was found. Because it is alkaline, concentration and final product pH matter: a balanced formula may be comfortable, while a strongly alkaline or powdery product can feel drying or sting cracked skin.

What is MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE used for in skincare?
Magnesium Hydroxide is an alkaline mineral compound used as a pH adjuster, absorbent and deodorant-support ingredient. It can neutralise acids and influence a formula's feel or suspension. It is often combined with starches, clays, oils, water and other pH adjusters in deodorants, powders, cleansers and specialty skin products.
