LINALYL ACETATE
Is LINALYL ACETATE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Linalyl Acetate is best approached with caution on seborrheic-dermatitis-prone skin because its main role is fragrance. A scented leave-on product can add an avoidable variable when skin is already inflamed, even though not everyone will react.
No direct seb derm or ingredient-specific Malassezia evidence was found. A published occupational case shows that contact allergy is possible, but it cannot estimate ordinary cosmetic risk. During a flare, a fragrance-free option is usually easier to assess.

What is LINALYL ACETATE used for in skincare?
Linalyl Acetate is an aromatic ester with a floral, lavender-like scent. It occurs naturally in some essential oils and is also used as a fragrance material in cosmetics and household products. Its purpose is scent, not moisturising, cleansing or antifungal activity.
