LAURETH-7
Is LAURETH-7 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Laureth-7 can be usable with seborrheic dermatitis, but it is not automatically gentle during an active flare. It helps oily and watery ingredients mix and may contribute cleansing, so concentration, contact time and the surrounding surfactants matter.
No direct human seb derm or exact-name Malassezia evidence was found. General surfactant research shows that finished-formula design influences irritation more than the ingredient name alone. If a product repeatedly leaves skin tight, stinging or itchier, choose a milder option.

What is LAURETH-7 used for in skincare?
Laureth-7 is made by adding polyethylene glycol units to lauryl alcohol. It functions as a surfactant and emulsifier, helping oil disperse in water, improving cleansing and keeping formulas uniform. It is used in washes, creams and hair products as a formulation aid.
