LAURETH-2
Is LAURETH-2 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Laureth-2 can be usable with seborrheic dermatitis, but it is not automatically gentle. It is a surfactant and emulsifier, so concentration, product type and the wider cleansing system determine whether it feels comfortable on inflamed skin.
No direct human seb derm or exact-name Malassezia evidence was found. Laureth-2 is an ethoxylated fatty alcohol and should not be treated as if it were free lauric acid solely because of its name. Judge the complete rinse-off or leave-on formula and stop if dryness, stinging or itching increases.

What is LAURETH-2 used for in skincare?
Laureth-2 is lauryl alcohol combined with a small average number of ethylene oxide units. It helps oils disperse, supports cleansing and can stabilise emulsions. It is a formulation surfactant rather than a dandruff or antifungal active.
