HYDROGENATED COCO-GLYCERIDES
Is HYDROGENATED COCO-GLYCERIDES safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides are not automatically unsuitable for seborrheic dermatitis, but they may be flagged in a strict Malassezia-conscious routine. They are a mixture of hydrogenated coconut-derived fats used to soften and thicken products.
Malassezia can use some external lipids in laboratory conditions, yet the studies checked did not test this exact ingredient in a finished cosmetic or on human seb derm. That makes the concern theoretical. A simpler, lighter formula may be easier to assess during an active flare.
