HYDRATED SILICA
Is HYDRATED SILICA safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Hydrated Silica is not automatically unsafe for seborrheic dermatitis, but its role and product format matter. It can absorb oil, add bulk, thicken or provide abrasion, and a scrub-like use may be uncomfortable on inflamed or flaky skin.
A smooth formula using Hydrated Silica for texture is a different experience from an abrasive cleanser. The checked sources provide no seb derm treatment or yeast-specific effect. Avoid vigorous rubbing and stop if the finished product repeatedly increases soreness or redness.

What is HYDRATED SILICA used for in skincare?
Hydrated Silica is used as an absorbent, anticaking, bulking, opacifying, thickening or abrasive ingredient. Its function can therefore range from invisible texture control to physical polishing. Checking the product type tells you more than the ingredient name alone.
