HONEY EXTRACT
Is HONEY EXTRACT safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Honey Extract is generally a lower-concern ingredient for seborrheic dermatitis when it is part of a well-formulated cosmetic. Its usual jobs are to help the formula hold water and condition the skin. The cosmetic safety assessment we checked did not identify an ingredient-specific reason to avoid it under the uses and concentrations reviewed.
That does not make Honey Extract a treatment for seb derm, and it does not guarantee that every honey-containing product will suit you. The rest of the formula, the amount used and your own sensitivity still matter. If a product stings or makes redness or itching worse, stop using that product and choose a simpler alternative.

What is HONEY EXTRACT used for in skincare?
Honey Extract is a bee-derived cosmetic material used mainly as a humectant and skin-conditioning ingredient. A humectant helps a formula attract and retain water, while skin-conditioning ingredients are added to improve how skin feels. This is why Honey Extract is most likely to appear in moisturisers, masks and soothing-looking formulas. Those formulation roles describe what the ingredient does in a product; they do not show that it treats the yeast or inflammation involved in seborrheic dermatitis.
