HONEY
Is HONEY safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Honey is generally a reasonable ingredient to consider in a cosmetic product when you have seborrheic dermatitis, but its presence does not make the product a treatment for the condition. A cosmetic safety review supports its use within the products and concentrations assessed. That does not predict how one particular formula will feel on skin that is already inflamed.
The important distinction is between Honey on a finished product's ingredient list and claims about putting raw honey on your skin. This cosmetic assessment does not establish a seb derm benefit for either. The ingredient name also tells you nothing about the amount used or the rest of the formula. Choose a gentle product that suits your skin and stop using one that repeatedly irritates it.

What is HONEY used for in skincare?
Honey is a bee-produced, sugar-rich material used in some cosmetics for skin conditioning and moisture-related formulation roles. In everyday terms, a formulator may include it to help a cream, mask or cleanser feel moisturising or to support the texture of the product. It is only one part of that formula. Its name does not tell you whether the finished product is gentle enough for a flare or whether it can treat seborrheic dermatitis.
