GLYCERYL UNDECYLENATE
Is GLYCERYL UNDECYLENATE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Glyceryl Undecylenate keeps its lower-concern editorial label and has an interesting laboratory anti-Malassezia signal, but it is not a proven seb derm treatment. In cosmetics it mainly softens skin, helps emulsions and supports preservation.
A cosmetic safety review supports assessed uses. Laboratory research found that a glycerol monoester of undec-10-enoic acid could inhibit several Malassezia species after ester cleavage. That is more directly relevant than a name-only screen, but it was an agar study at tested concentrations, not a human flare study. The finished product may still help, do nothing or irritate for unrelated reasons.

What is GLYCERYL UNDECYLENATE used for in skincare?
Glyceryl Undecylenate is a monoester made from glycerin and undecylenic acid. It acts as an emollient, co-emulsifier and antimicrobial-system helper, allowing formulators to improve skin feel while supporting product protection. It is often combined with glyceryl caprylate, organic acids, humectants and mild emulsifiers in natural-style creams and cleansers.
