DECETH-3
Is DECETH-3 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Deceth-3 is context-dependent for seborrheic dermatitis. It helps oil and water mix and supports cleansing or solubilising, but it does not treat a flare.
Its C10 alcohol chain is bound in an ethoxylated ether surfactant, not present as a screened free fatty acid. No exact human seb derm or ingredient-specific Malassezia study was found. Because lower-ethoxylate surfactants can be more oil-friendly, the whole surfactant blend, rinse-off time and skin feel remain the practical test.

What is DECETH-3 used for in skincare?
Deceth-3 is decyl alcohol joined to about three ethylene-oxide units. This gives it both oil-friendly and water-friendly properties for emulsifying, solubilising and cleansing. It is often combined with other nonionic or anionic surfactants, oils, fragrance and viscosity modifiers in cleansers, hair products and emulsions.
