COCOS NUCIFERA OIL
Is COCOS NUCIFERA OIL safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Cocos Nucifera Oil, or coconut oil, is not the simplest choice during an active seb derm flare or for a strict Malassezia-conscious routine. It contains triglycerides built from several long-chain fatty acids, and laboratory research shows that natural oils and long-chain lipids can be usable by Malassezia. That is a cautious screening reason to avoid it, not proof that coconut oil worsens every person's skin.
The evidence is mixed. A long human scalp study found microbiome changes during coconut-oil use and did not establish worse dandruff, while a newer laboratory study found coconut oil did not trigger the same hyphal response as several unsaturated oils. If your priority is the lowest-theory-risk routine during a flare, leave it out; otherwise stop if it repeatedly increases itching, redness or greasiness.

What is COCOS NUCIFERA OIL used for in skincare?
Cocos Nucifera Oil is used as a plant-derived emollient that softens skin and gives products a richer, more occlusive feel. It may also influence spread and texture. Those cosmetic properties can support moisturising, but they do not establish an antifungal or seb derm treatment effect.
