CINNAMAL
Is CINNAMAL safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Cinnamal is best approached with caution on seborrheic-dermatitis-prone skin because it is a fragrance ingredient with recognized contact-allergy relevance. It can add avoidable irritation when the skin barrier is already inflamed.
Laboratory work found that cinnamaldehyde can inhibit Malassezia, but the same paper described the irritant derivative as unsuitable for practical cosmetic treatment. That makes it a poor basis for a seb derm claim. During a flare, choose fragrance-free products where practical and stop if burning, itching or redness increases.

What is CINNAMAL used for in skincare?
Cinnamal, also called cinnamaldehyde, is an aromatic aldehyde used for a warm cinnamon-like scent and flavour. In skincare it contributes fragrance rather than moisturising or cleansing benefits. Applicable fragrance-allergen restrictions and label rules reflect its sensitization relevance.
