CETEARETH-25
Is CETEARETH-25 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Ceteareth-25 is not automatically unsafe for seborrheic dermatitis, but it is best judged in the complete formula. It helps cleanse or keep oil and water mixed and is not a treatment for seb derm.
There is no direct human seb derm or ingredient-specific Malassezia study for Ceteareth-25. Because it is part of a surfactant system, concentration, rinse-off versus leave-on use and the other cleansing ingredients matter more than its name alone. Stop if the product repeatedly leaves inflamed skin tight, stinging or red.

What is CETEARETH-25 used for in skincare?
Ceteareth-25 is a water-loving surfactant made from cetearyl alcohol that has been ethoxylated. In skincare it mainly helps oil and water stay blended, improves the spread of creams and can support cleansing. It is often used with fatty alcohols, oils and other surfactants to build a stable texture rather than to deliver a skin benefit on its own.
