CERAMIDE 1
Is CERAMIDE 1 safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Ceramide 1 is not an automatic avoid for seborrheic dermatitis. It is used in barrier-support skincare to help replace lipids found naturally between skin cells. The Malassezia concern raised by strict screening guides is indirect: ceramides contain a sphingoid base and a fatty-acid component, but the retained research does not show that topical Ceramide 1 itself feeds Malassezia or worsens seb derm in people.
Human dandruff research found altered patterns of natural scalp ceramides, including changes involving Ceramide 1, but it measured the skin's own lipids rather than testing a Ceramide 1 product. A separate laboratory finding for phytosphingosine also cannot be transferred directly to a complete ceramide. Ceramide 1 is not a seb derm treatment; judge the whole formula by comfort and stop if it repeatedly increases itching, redness or stinging.

What is CERAMIDE 1 used for in skincare?
Ceramide 1 is used as a skin-conditioning ingredient in barrier-oriented skincare. It can contribute to the smoother, more protected feel expected from a moisturiser. This is a supportive formula role and does not by itself establish effectiveness against seborrheic dermatitis.
