CAPRYLOYL GLYCINE
Is CAPRYLOYL GLYCINE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Capryloyl Glycine is not automatically unsafe for seborrheic dermatitis, but its oil-control and antimicrobial uses do not make it a proven seb derm treatment. The finished concentration and formula are more important than marketing claims around sebum.
No direct human seb derm study was found, and this ingredient should not be treated like free caprylic acid. Published case reports show that contact allergy is possible, although they do not tell us how often it occurs. Stop if a product produces a repeat rash or persistent burning.
