CAFFEINE
Is CAFFEINE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Caffeine is generally a lower-concern ingredient for seborrheic dermatitis, but it is not a proven seb derm treatment. In skincare and scalp products it is used for conditioning or appearance-focused claims, and the complete formula determines comfort.
One small hair-loss study of a shampoo containing both caffeine and adenosine reported reduced Malassezia abundance after 12 weeks. It could not isolate caffeine's role and did not study seb derm, so it should not be read as treatment proof. Use the product only if it feels comfortable and stop if irritation develops.

What is CAFFEINE used for in skincare?
Caffeine is a methylxanthine compound used in eye products, body products and scalp formulas. Brands often include it for skin-conditioning or appearance-related positioning, while formulators dissolve it into water-based systems. Its presence alone does not establish a clinical effect on hair growth or seb derm.
