BIOTIN
Is BIOTIN safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
Topical Biotin is generally a lower-concern ingredient for seborrheic dermatitis, but it is not a proven treatment. Cosmetics mainly use it for skin or hair conditioning, and benefit claims should not be confused with treating a true dietary deficiency.
An old infant report studied combined biotin and B vitamins, not modern topical Biotin by itself, and later reviews do not establish a cosmetic seb derm benefit. No applicable exact-ingredient Malassezia evidence was found. Treat it as a supporting formula ingredient, not an antifungal active.

What is BIOTIN used for in skincare?
Biotin, also called vitamin B7, is used in skincare and haircare mainly as a conditioning and marketing ingredient. It is often included in scalp products, shampoos and products for nails or hair, but topical presence does not show that it corrects deficiency or changes hair growth.
