AMMONIUM CHLORIDE
Is AMMONIUM CHLORIDE safe for seborrheic dermatitis?
There is not enough ingredient-specific evidence to rate Ammonium Chloride confidently for seborrheic dermatitis. In personal care it is used in small amounts to control pH, thickness or product performance, not as a treatment.
Ammonium Chloride is not a fatty nutrient in the usual Malassezia screen, and no direct human seb derm or exact topical study was found. Concentrated salts can irritate, but that does not describe a correctly formulated rinse-off product. Check the complete formula, follow directions and stop if it repeatedly causes burning, tightness or redness.

What is AMMONIUM CHLORIDE used for in skincare?
Ammonium Chloride is a water-soluble inorganic salt. Formulators use it to adjust viscosity, support buffering and fine-tune the performance of cleansing or hair systems; it may also appear in fragrance-related function lists. It is often combined with surfactants, acids, bases and conditioning agents in shampoos, hair colour and cleansers.
