Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder is not proven to treat seborrheic dermatitis, but there is an encouraging direct signal for aloe. A small double-blind, placebo-controlled study of one 30% crude Aloe vera emulsion reported improvement in several seb derm measures. That does not establish that this powder, or every aloe product, will have the same effect.
No useful Malassezia mechanism was established for the powder itself. Processing, concentration and the rest of the formula can change how an aloe product performs, and botanical ingredients can still irritate an individual.
